About Me: Computers & Consoles
Full Name:-
Stuart Robert Andrew Bowers
'Bowch' to my friends.
My Computing History:-
The first computer I ever used was a Commodore PET, way back in the summer of 1981. Since then I've used a Sinclair ZX81, Spectrum 16k, 48k, 128k, Plus 3, Research Machines 380Z, Acorn Electron, BBC Micro Model B, BBC Master, Archimedes, Goldstar MSX, Oric Atmos, Amstrad CPC464, Texas Instruments TI-99/4A, Commodore VIC-20, Commodore 64, Amiga 500, 600, 1200, Pentium 120, Pentium II 333, Pentium III 500, Athlon 1333, Athlon XP 2800+, 3000+, 3200+ and now an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Brisbane.
My Consoles History:-
The first console I owned was a Sega Mega Drive, and since then I've owned a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Nintendo 64 and Gamecube, a Sony Playstation and Playstation 2, an XBox and XBox 360.
Present Day:-
Morion is currently my main pc and I also still have a Pentium III 500 and an Athlon 1800+. I also have a HP Compaq NX9005 Athlon XP-M 2400+ laptop. All 3 of the desktop PCs are running Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 and the laptop is dual booting that with Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon.
I still have the Gamecube, PS2 and 360. I am quite happy with those consoles and see no need to buy a Wii or PS3 yet.
Hidden Gems:-
If you were to search through the house and shed I'm sure that you would still find a Spectrum, an MSX, an Oric Atmos, an Acorn Electron, a BBC Micro Model B, an Amstrad CPC464, a Commodore VIC-20, a Commodore 64, an Amiga 500, an Amiga 600 and a 386-based PC. I'm also certain that you would find a Sega Mega Drive, a Nintendo NES, a Nintendo SNES, a Nintendo N64 and a Sony PS1.
