iPhone

My next neighbour got himself an already hacked iPhone off eBay a while ago. Recently, he upgraded iTunes to the latest v8 and accidentally updated the firmware and software on his iPhone to a newer, unhacked version. Anyway, he popped over earlier regarding his PC running slow and I helped solve that problem for him. He mentioned about the iPhone and I offered to have a look at it and see if I could roll the upgrade back. Anyway, a quick check gave the impression that I wouldn't be able to roll back the upgrade without unistalling the latest version of iTunes and reinstalling v7.5. Further checking on the web pointed me in the direction of some software that would hack the v2.0.2 firmware. The main problem I've had is with the power button on the iPhone. Rather than switching the iPhone off it has invariably been resetting it. I've ended up spending most of this afternoon at it and finally got it sorted.

I've been fairly scathing of the iPhone but bar for the niggle with the power button I kind of like the look and feel of it. I am not going to replace my N95 with one though!
