Dad: The Surgery

They decided to hold off on Dad's surgery until this morning. After a consultation with the surgeon last night the plan is apparently to amputate through the knee in an effort to offer as much mobility after the operation as possible. However, the surgeon did mention that it may not be possible to do so and he would only know for sure once in theatre. If amputation through the knee proves to be a non-starter then he will attempt to amputate above the knee whilst remaining as close to the knee as he possibly can.
