Was unsuccessful in my interview at the hospital last Friday. The search goes on...

I had a follow up appointment with my Nurse today. Although she's happy with my self-testing results my blood sugar levels are higher than she'd like and she's upped my dose of Metformin.

She feels that sooner rather than later I will have to switch over to Insulin injections; mainly due to my relatively young age for diabetes.

She also has concerns over my blood pressure and has arranged me an appointment with a Doctor for next week to check it and discuss the possible prescribing of some medication to also control that.

Had an interview this morning at West Cumberland Hospital for a Ward Clerk's position. It's a part-time position for 19½ hours per week. I think the interview went okay and will find out if I've got the job by the end of next week.

Got home and I've got a letter inviting me to an interview for a Medical Laboratory Assistant (Bacteriology) position at the same hospital in the New Year.

Found a neat little game. Quite tricky later on.

Both of my big toes have ingrowing toenails. I'm scheduled to get them treated under local anaesthetic tomorrow morning. Apparently they are going to burn out the sides of my toenails with phenol which should prevent the problem recurring.

Spent all day yesterday reinstalling my PC.

Was in Glasgow last night to see Within Temptation.

There can't be many people unaware that England have failed to qualify for next Summer's European Championships in Switzerland and Austria.

Lost my job on Tuesday. Currently looking for a new one.

Why complicate such a simple game as Rock, Paper, Scissors?

Must admit this does look kind of cool though.

I ordered a new Sapphire X1950 Pro 512mb ATI Radeon X1950 Pro gfx card for my PC from CCL Online. Paid via Google Checkout and now wish I hadn't.

My bank has issued payment but Google are saying my card has been declined and haven't forwarded the order to CCL.

Once I get it sorted I'm going to go back to using either Paypal or the vendor's own checkout process.

Currently awaiting some form of response from Google.

Went back home at the weekend; first time in over 30 years. Went to watch Peterborough United vs Morecambe. Was a good game. Finished 1-1.

I've got two weddings to attend on Saturday.

This weekend is the SASRA FRP & Wargames Club annual 24 Hour sponsored roleplaying session.

This year we are raising funds for West Cumbria Coronary Care Unit and MacMillan Nurses.

Having a clearout of some of my old bits and bobs.

Currently got a load of books and pc games listed on eBay and will be adding some XBox games by the weekend.

The headline acts for this year's Download Festival were announced last night.

Went to the Manchester United vs Portsmouth FA Cup match today.

After a bit of mulling over I've finally decided upon my next car.

Going to see Within Temptation in April. Tickets have arrived already.

Had some problems with a virus popping up on here a couple of times over the last couple of days. I've played safe and deleted all the entries since it started showing up.

Hopefully, things are now sorted...
