Rammstein

I finished at about 12:30pm. After a quick visit home to get a bite to eat and changed it was off to Distington to pick up a couple of friends, a brief stop in Workington to drop a ticket off for another friend who was going to be making his own way there later.

Got into Newcastle about 6:15pm and found the Metro Radio Arena quite easily, which I was surprised about. Parking was a lot cheaper than I expected too.

Anyway, got into the venue about 7:15pm and was looking forward to watching the support act, Apocalyptica, but unfortunately they didn't play, which is a shame because they're really good. Nothing was stated to say why though...

Rammstein came on stage about 8:45pm and tore the spot down, or more aptly, blew it away. They played a 90 minute set and they were extremely loud. I was closer here than in Brixton and as a result the pyro felt a lot hotter and the explosions were a lot louder. They did 2 encores and finally left the stage at about 10:40pm.

Left Newcastle at 11:05pm and was home by 1:25am, including making two stops to drop friends off and a detour into Tesco to get some food. Next time they're in the UK I'm going to go and see them again.
