Less than a month after my Mom dies and both my sisters have ended up on the same ward.
It's not as bad as it sounds though. Sharon, the elder of my 2 sisters, was rushed into hospital last Thursday with absolutely crippling abdominal pain. She's on a variety of medication for Colitis and Crohn's Disease. After a series of tests and scans they elected to cut her medication in half and she seems much better. She was released on Tuesday.
Yesterday, my younger sister, and the baby of the family, she's 22 mind, Catherine, started complaining of abdominal pains also. A quick visit to her local GP today and he's referred her to the hospital for further scans and tests. His thoughts are it could either be Appendicitis or a Twisted Ovary. Tests will determine which, if any.
Unfortunately, I'm heading to Folkestone tomorrow, so won't be able to visit her. However, I've asked to be kept appraised of her condition.
I think this family has had enough issues over the last few months and could do with a brief period of respite.

My family went through a hell similar to this about 10-15 years ago, but then it was my grandfather who died and not my mother, so I know how you are feeling mate. All I can say is, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and that it is not some bugger with a torch!
