I haven't installed it on Apollo (this, my main PC) yet, and don't intend to for at least another month after what I've read about "issues" with various applications. I keep up to date with the regular critical updates to patch all the security holes in XP, so it isn't really necessary for me to do so immediately. For that matter I haven't installed DirectX 9.0c yet, though as it would have zero benefit for me (or anyone else without a GeForce 6xxx card), thats understandable.

DX9.0c is something I'm going to install as soon as I download the redistributable as I'm satisfied from browsing forums that it won't cause any problems.

XP SP2 is something I'll monitor. There's nothing in it that will help anyone who doesn't already have a good firewall and keep their AV software up-to-date, so theres no hurry. Sooner or later I'll have to make the move to stay current though. Probably later when M$ have fixed most of the reported issues. The early bird catches the bugs as they say.

I've had SP2 for over a month in one form or other and have only actually installed it on 1 PC prior to this when I was doing a rebuild for a friend. Decided to upgrade my Dad's XP yesterday afternoon and it went fine, no problems at all. So, yesterday evening I decided to do mine. It went without a hitch too. At some point prior to the end of the week I'll probably roll it out on to my laptop too. So far, so good, and no major issues...

I have put service pack two on my smaller machine, and I quite like what it has done. I can actually remove a couple of items that I have installed.

Finally got round to putting it on my laptop too...
