Just realised that I hadn't made any mention of Folkestone since I got home.
The trip down was fine; a bit hairy on the M25, mainly due to the torrential rain rather than volume of traffic. And the trip back was equally uneventful. Used the M6 Toll in both directions and it's really worth the toll price, especially with the congestion in that area on the normal M6. Went via the Dartford crossing on the way down and via the Dartford tunnel on the way back. Boy is that an impressive view from the top of that bridge. It would almost be so tempting to stop and take some photographs.
Arrived down at Al's at about 4:15pm and had a couple of drinks that evening along with a couple of episodes of Family Guy, before finally crashing out around about 1am. Saturday lunchtime so us go in to Folkestone itself. Ended up buying Top Spin for the XBox, and Excalibur and Iron Maiden on DVD. I also purchased Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice. Had a barbeque on Saturday afternoon and some more drinks on Saturday evening, along with watching King Arthur. Sunday was a rather lazy day, especially after Bab's excellent roast dinner, a definite highlight of every trip down so far. Mojo left on Sunday evening, but not until after getting a jump start for his car. I went to sleep about 1am again.
Monday morning; I left Al's just before 10am and got home just before 5pm. Hopefully, Al will make it to Blackpool in November, otherwise I won't get to see him again until next year. Will hopefully meet up with his wife, and maybe himself too, at Donnington next year too...

Glad you enjoyed yourself. Will let you know close to the time if I am going to Blackpool. If Iron Maiden are headlining at Donnington, then my back permitted, I will make it.
