By Had the router back for 3 days now and it's working fine; so much so in fact that I've finally gotten round to putting the cabling in to share the broadband connection with my dad.
I think the next plan for my dad's pc is to replace the Radeon 7000 he has in it with something newer; thinking the Geforce FX 5900 XT which is not much over a ton now...
