By Left my PC defragging drives overnight and woke up this morning with a locked pc. Had to reboot. XP wouldn't load afterwards; even in to safe mode.
I had to disconnect my secondary SATA drive, boot in to safe mode, power down and reconnect the drive before the PC would boot normally. Will make a point of checking the drive thoroughly for errors; although thankfully nothing critical goes on the drive. Haven't changed anything and it seems fine. The vagaries of PCs...
Got home from work today and my new router has arrived. It's working fine.
Oh, and on the way home I collected my new car...
