Previous encounters with certain women have frequently led me to the same conclusion. Yesterday, I was ambushed, by a woman. Not just any woman! No, I could probably have managed being ambushed by most women, and might even welcome it at times. No, this was a certain woman. A certain woman of my previous acquaintance. I was ambushed by... I had been phoned earlier in the week by Tony, Amanda's brother, who I still talk to when I see him, which is rather infrequently. He's got a PC, it doesn't work, it needs fixed, he asked me, I agreed! Anyway, knew I was working on Saturday and volunteered to go round after work. I should have thought that Amanda would take the opportunity to ambush me; but, no, I never even thought of it. At least, not conciously. Probably at some subconcious level I thought there was a possibilty of her ambushing me. Anyway, met up with Tony and as we walked up to his flat he mentioned that Amanda wanted me to pop up when I had some free time. Said that it was unlikely anytime soon, and she probably knew I was going to Tony's anyway, so why didn't she pop down? Am I a fool? Of course, I am...

Anyway, fixed Tony's PC; ended up having to reinstall Windows and all his software in the end. Anyway, he had to rush his girlfriend to the hospital, she's pregnant and had started to bleed. They were obviously worried; worked out ok though, she's fine, no major problems to report. Anyway, they departed and left me and Amanda together in the flat. We got on to talking and sum total is she wants to start dating again, and I'm still not totally convinced that she really wants to date me, and not just anybody that'll say yes. I've told her to think about it and if it really is me she wants to date then to call me. It was so tempting to say "Yes" when she asked, even after what she's done to me in the past...
