By Well, still no luck with the UPS, just won't accept any kind of load. I have a friend who is a field engineer for IBM, will ask him to have a look at it.
Got much better results with my new DVD Writer, it's working fine with Roxio now that I've purchased some alternate media, although Nero and DVD XCopy both still refuse to look at it. Means I'll be using Roxio along with something like DVD Shrink for burning DVDs and Nero for CDs. There's an updated hacked version of the Firmware available for the drive and might eventually get round to installing that, but don't see the need at the moment.
Finally got round to completing reinstalling the final few pieces of software and games that I hadn't got round to since the upgrade. Now, to find time to play them. Although, I'm still missing MechWarrior 4 and MechCommander 2, will have to ask around and see who I've loaned them to.
Oh, you can't beat Jack Daniels, well unless you spend a fortune on a quality whiskey.
